3 Day 10lb Diet

The 3 day 10lb diet (aka the 3 day tuna diet)is not one where you only eat tuna, but you have tuna on each of the 3 days for either lunch or dinner.

Now lets put this in comparison. For a person trying to maintain their wieght and eating a healthy, balanced diet you should have approximately 2000 calories a day. If you are trying to lose weight you should again be eating a healthy, balanced diet, but try to have around 1500 calories a day.

Below is a sample of one day of the 3 day 10lb diet.

Breakfast:
Black tea or coffee (use diet sugar) or water
Either juice or 1/3 grapefruit
1 slice toast (1/2 to 1 tbsp low-fat peanut butter as spread)

Lunch:
1 slice plain toast
1/2 cup tuna
Water, diet soda or black tea or coffee (use diet sugar)

Dinner:
2-3 oz. lean meat (fish/chicken)
1 cup green beans
1 cup grated carrot
1 medium apple
Water or black coffee or tea (diet sugar)

The 3 day 10lb diet probably adds up to less than a thousand calories a day.

This could lead you feeling lethargic, prone to headaches and unable to function to the best of your abilities (both mental and physical) throughout the day.

Let's not use the word 'diet', but instead focus on eating healthy.

The 3 day 10lb diet is not a healthy eating plan that you could maintain long term.

You want something that becomes habit. That is good habits that stay with you for life.

Make sure you start with breakfast to kickstart your metabolism and to avoid over-eating at the end of the day.

Eat a balance of all the good food groups and everything in moderation.
