Digital Video Camcorders Techniques - Easy Manual Focus Part 1

Modern digital video camcorders have many features that make them easy to use, save time and are aimed at the 'point and shoot' operator.

One of these features is auto focus.

This is where the camcorder will automatically detect what is the most important subject within the frame of the shot and focus on that subject.

This can be a great time saver if you just want that quick and easy shot, but there are times when it can be an annoyance.

Below is a video example explaining the use of manual focus with your digital video camcorders:

Certain situations can confuse the auto focus and you end up with a series of blurred images.

Situations like low light, high contrast, many subjects, rapid movement and unexpected subjects just to name a few.

If you have a camcorder that allows you to switch from auto focus to manual focus it would pay to learn how to use it.

If you have any of your own digital video camcorders techniques like this one it would be great if you could mention it in the comments below.
