Kawasaki KX 450F

The new 2009 Kawasaki KX450F still feels very... Kawasaki.

It is wide in the shroud area but not that bad. And if all you ride is Kawasaki's it won't be an issue.

It's a ground up re-build from the 2008 machine and has also ditched the carby for electronic fuel injection.

The Kawasaki KX450F chassis, suspension, exhaust and bodywork have all changed.

Power delivery is smooth and from a fairly tame bottom end rolls into one of the stronger 450 motors around.

The black engine cases and plastics of the Kawasaki KX450Fis do scratch up pretty easily.

The footpegs are wider, the seat has a harder base and more rounded profile.

New factory style graphics and two tone radiator shrouds improve the look while fork gaurds are now black and wrap further around the sliders.

The new Kawasaki KX450F has improved on last year and fans will be very competitive on the green bikes against the other brands.
