How To Really Meditate

I was surfing Youtube and discovered this little gem of a video on meditation.

The simple langauge of meditation along with basic images comes together perfectly to help guide and explain a process that some people tend to over complicate.

It starts with a discussion on the postures. Ensuring that it is very stable comfortable so you can maintain it for the duration of your meditation. It can be sitting on the floor or in a chair.

On this video I heard the best explanation for crossing your legs and clasping your fingers in front of you. This is to create energy circles and help give stability as you meditate.

As you meditate the mind will constantly chatters as you try to relax with meditation.

The suggestion is made to close your eyes and our instructor tells us that "our eyes are doors to the mind so eyes should be closed".

Our mind is nothing but a bundle of thoughts. Thoughts arouse the intellect, that gives the intellect an excuse to ask questions.

Observation is the nature of self, so as we meditate you need to just witness.

The oral and visual instruction on breathing is once again simple but powerful.

Meditation can be a powerful tool for relaxation, releasing emotional blockages and inner discovery. Allowing cosmic energy to flow through you.
