Motocross Riding Tips By Gary Semics - Vol 2 # 3

More motocross riding tips on video this time by Gary Semics!

Gary Semics Volume 2 part 3 is all about jumps and whoops.

Before tackling big jumps it is vital that you become comfortable on your dirtbike as it leaves the ground.

Ski jumps and tabletops help you build confidence to tackle bigger jumps, give you time to learn correct body positioning and control of the dirtbike in the air.

When jumping your motocross or dirtbike you will be using a combination of body movements, clutch and throttle. As you get more advanced you will even use the break to control the position of the dirtbike.

In this video Gary talks about how important it is to control the rebound and compression of the suspension on the face and top of the jump.

By correctly timing and control the suspensions compression and rebound, you can affect the height of the front and rear wheels of the dirtbike in the air through the jump.

This is particulary important on supercross style jumps with steep faces, short run-ups and long distances to travel.
