Script Writing

Pre-production planning is a vital part of any motion picture, independent film, video production or even a youtube broadcast.

And one of the first parts to do is establish your idea or storyline.

This is usually written down as a script.

Many people are daunted byt the prospect of writing a script... or more just the prospect of writing.

As ROb Ager explains in the video below, this can be beacuse of fear that it will be no good, you wont get it right or the process is too complex.

These fears can then manifest themselves as writers block.

Many good writers (be it novelists or script writers) overcome this fear in a very simple way... they just write.

They don't judge if the idea is good or bad they just write it all down.

Not concerned with grammar or punctuation the best way to get started is to do a 'brain dump'. Just write and continue to write whatever is in your mind until you have exhausted all ideas.

Then and only then do you go back over the script and correct, adjust, delete or add ideas.

Script witing can be easy if you allow it to be. So if you have an idea swirling around in your head for a script... write it down without predudice and fix it later.

And you too will find that script writing is easy!.
