Yamaha
Dirt Bikes - Since about 1996 Yamaha dirt bikes have just
been getting better & better. A process of only minor updates
to an existing range coupled with an innovation in introducing
high performance 4 stroke Yamaha dirt bikes sees Yamaha at the
forefront of their industry.
The
Japanese have a term for this "Kaizen" with 'kai' meaning continuous/change
and 'zen' meaning good/improvement and Yamaha have certainly taken
this mantra to heart.
A
lot of Yamaha's fortunes could be attributed to the YZ125 motocross
bike. From 1996 to about 2002 it was the choice of many riders
as it was a complete package. With power and 'rideability' it
suited pro's and amateurs alike.
The
development of the YZ400F (to become the 426 then 450) and the
introduction of the YZ250F, Yamaha dirt bikes were taking a huge
market share. And by producing the WR range based on these bikes
(with electric start) Yamaha continued their position as a market
leader.
From
the mainly unchanged peewee's (where most riders will admit to
'cutting their teeth' on) to the TTR, YZ/YZF & WR range of Yamaha
dirt bikes. There's a Yamaha dirt bikes to suit every rider:
