Yamaha YZ250F

The 2009 Yamaha YZ250F is often summed up with one word... Fun! The 09 YZ250F is fun to ride and not too taxing on the body.

Testers found that the motor is good with no real hit. It's better than than the 08 YZ250F motor but doesn't have any real 'kick'. Some riders might want to add a tooth to the rear sprocket for more punch from the motor.

The YZ250F is stable on fast straightaways and the suspension is supple. It rides like a cadillac some have said. Smooth and comfortable.

The Yamaha YZ250F turns well and is good in corners but not as nimble as say a RMZ250.

The 2009 Yamaha YZ250F comes with:

• new clutch perch and adjusters
• new quick adjust cables
• new top triple clamp also allowing forward and back adjustment of handlebars
• lengthened header pipe for more bottom to mid power
• new swingarm and rear hub
• new style gripper seat cover

The new 2009 Yamaha YZ250F has a lot of new additions. The motor is good, fun and easy to ride and the suspension is supple and stable. Will be interesting to see how it stacks up against the other 250F's.
